EXPLORATION
ON RUNNING
CYCLING CAP
2026
I've been setting myself small design challenges - partly to keep making things, but also to test how quickly I can take a random idea and turn it into something tangible.
This one started quite casually.
My wife and I were looking for a good pair of comfortable everyday trainers and ended up trying on some shoes at On. While she was trying them on, I started looking through their apparel and became really interested in the products.
I really liked the innovative construction, technical finishing, and how clean and precise everything felt.
So I wanted to see how I might interpret that through a cycling cap.
The concept: a single-panel main construction with an adjustable brim.
12 hours. Quick research, design, development and visualisation.
It's definitely not a finished product. There's still a long way to go before an idea like this becomes properly resolved. This was more about moving quickly, testing my workflow and then zooming out to see if there's actually something worth developing.
